CIU Handbook

The Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) is a highly skilled team that is trained in Weapons, Protection and Investigation work. Those three words are our motto. “Weapons, Protection, Investigations.” These detectives will help with assisting in traffic stops and perform many in-game investigations. They are handpicked with the exception of training. CIU has a maximum of 30 members. There are 3 divisional departments within the CIU and that is Warrant Services [WS], Counter Assault Team [C.A.T] and Hostage Rescue Negotiations [HRN].

• Serve Arrest and Search Warrants
• Assist with Traffic Stops
• Respond to Any Call Requiring Assistance

Miranda Rights:

As a Detective you are to read the Miranda Rights before questioning any subjects. If you do not know the Miranda rights it will be listed below.

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do or say, can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided to you.”

Quotas

All Detectives have a quota of 3 hours bi weekly. The only exception to that is if you’re on LOA/IN or if you’re SCO+. Failure to reach that weekly quota, will result in a strike. Please remember, two strikes is a termination. Get your quotas done!

Warrants

As CIU with a warrant and only with a warrant, you can go up to 1575 seconds max. If you see someone doing something bad enough, get proof, usernames, and request for a warrant in the designated channel. Only Commanding Officer+, a member of Warrant Services, or a member of the Critical Incident Response Group has authority to approve & publish a warrant.

The CIU callsigns help identify which detective is on within the game. Their Callsigns will only be UC-### and nothing else. The ### is what your normal callsign numbers are. For example:

Warrant Services

Warrant Services is the group of people that would be specifically looking for the wanted subjects. Anyone can catch them, but Warrant Services are specifically looking for them. If they run into a scene, they can still handle it as a regular CIU Detective, as well as if there is nobody in-game with an active warrant.

Counter Assault Team

The Counter Assault Team is a tactical group of individuals who deal with high level threats within the game. They deal with all sorts of scenes from mass kidnapping and 10-13s to protecting HR. They are the best of the best within the Criminal Investigation Unit. The rest of CAT’s operations will remain classified. 

Hostage Rescue Negotiations

The Hostage Rescue Negotiations team deals with meeting demands and organizing plans to infiltrate hostage situations. These negotiators are the lifeline of the HRN team. The rest will remain CLASSIFIED.

Background of CIU

CIU was first created on October 31st, 2022 and was directed by 2M-034 | DCOMM | TigerRyan123 and Assisted by FMR.  005| SCO | Preston. Shortly after, it was passed down to 2M-781 | LT.COL | Quentin_nice. He ran the division for quite some time before the removal of CIU. On 10/05/23 CIU was reconstructed by 2M-034 | DCOMM | TigerRyan123. Which then ended with him resigning and 2M-781 | LT.COL | Quentin_nice taking over the position once again.
